J. Matt Varner, CFP^®

Matt Varner is a Wealth Advisor in our Buffalo Grove, IL office and has over 25 years of experience in the financial service industry. Prior to joining Fairport Wealth, he was a finance manager for the central region of Reuters America, Inc. He joined Leonetti & Associates in 1996 where he served as the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager before acquiring his CFP^® designation and moved into his current position as a Wealth Advisor serving high-net-worth clients.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Illinois State University and passed the CPA exam in 1990. He has a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Chicago. Matt is a current member of the Greater North Shore Estate and Financial Planning Council as well as a member of the Illinois Financial Planning Association.

Matt currently resides in Winnetka, Illinois with his wife Amy and their dog Frango. He enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and supporting the Chicago Cubs.
