What Your Shoes Say About You!

By Fairport Wealth

The Meaning of Shoes

Do you think it’s possible to send a message to the world with your feet? According to research, shoes are a source of first impressions and often accurately reflect the personality of the wearer.1 Kathy Kelada, author of Be the Shoe, agrees that the type of shoes we favor say a little something about our character,2 for example:

  • Women in wedges, such as Noemi Lopez, Client Service Manager, exude self-confidence and warmth. Her mission is to help families accomplish their financial goals – and with wedges on, she does so with assurance.

  • Dramatic stilettos, a favorite of Advisor Emily N. Shacklett, CPA/PFS, AEP®, show that you are hardworking, with drive and determination. (Who else could balance in those heels?) They indicate you’re the type to say ‘yes’ before ‘no’ – just like Emily.

  • Flip flops wearers are easygoing, happy, and ready for anything, including Client Service Manager Tia M. D’Aveta, FPQPTM who handles day-to-day client requests with a smile.

  • Running shoes demonstrate confidence and fitness, like those of Advisor Dana G. Hastings, CFP®, ChFC®, RICP®, CEPA. And, she’s always willing to go the extra mile – for example, coaching entrepreneurs on how to achieve an effective transition at last year’s Female Entrepreneurs Summit.

  • If you’re typically lacing up sneakers, like Marketing Coordinator Annika Traner, you probably get along well with people of every age and come up with lots of ideas.

  • Clog fans are generous, down-to-earth and nurturing, just like Lisa Rimback, who greets clients and navigates schedules and logistics for the firm. Her clogs and loving spirit help everyone feel relaxed and comfortable.

  • Those who wear flats are behind-the-scenes leaders, focused on getting things done, including Advisor Rachel A. Margulis, CPA, PFS, who assists clients with financial planning.

  • Pump wearers are powerful leaders and Advisor Joyce A. Zak, CRPC®, FPQPTM is no exception. As her shoes demonstrate, she’s efficient and caring, and ready to get the job done!

  • Loafer lovers have high standards. Our Chief Operating Officer Paul B. Stetz’sshoes indicate he efficiently manages the details to keep the firm running smoothly.

  • High-heeled boot wearers, like Advisor Michelle L. Taylor, CRPC®, are ready to take charge in any situation, and people feel safe in their hands.

Unfortunately, there are kids in need who cannot afford to buy shoes that give them confidence. We invite you to join us in support of Shoes and Clothes for Kids, dedicated to providing shoes and other clothing and supplies that elevate a child’s self-worth and improve school attendance.
