Introducing Kennedy, our 2023 Luma Intern

We’d like to introduce our 2023 intern, Kennedy Whitaker. Kennedy is a rising junior at Laurel High School and is a talented and dedicated individual. Besides excelling academically, Kennedy is an avid lacrosse player, and plays for the Laurel team as well as the Maxim Lacrosse team of Northern Ohio. Additionally, her compassionate nature extends beyond the field as she actively volunteers with local charities like The Public Animal Welfare Society of Ohio (PAWS), demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact in her community. We are so happy to have her on the team!
About the Luma Internship & Scholarship Program (“LIS”):
LIS is a unique student engagement model that includes a multi-year professional internship tailored to the interests of the candidate in the financial services industry, in conjunction with a scholarship award and mentorship.
A Luma internship can be up to a two-year commitment beginning the summer after a student’s sophomore year. The purpose of the program is to introduce and educate young women to potential careers in the financial services industry. The LIS recipient will have an opportunity to explore all aspects of a wealth management firm.
A financial stipend will be paid to the recipient over the term of a 6-week internship working period. In addition, Luma provides a scholarship through a 529 plan to use towards the cost of tuition. In successive years, prior scholarship winners will participate in the selection process.
